There is life after denim. Here’s whole new existence for that old pair of jeans. It’s quick, easy and all you need, apart from the jeans is a pair of scissors, needle and thread.
- Lay the jeans flat and cut them off at crotch level. Save the legs for later.
- Next, turn the jeans inside out and stitch across the bottom to close the leg openings. Leave about 1/2 inch of fabric or an even edge.
- Now turn them back the right way and check that you have an even edge.
- Cut the inside seams from the two legs and use them to create handles which you can attach to your new bag.
- Now express yourself. Customise your bag by stitching on some detailing, adding embroidery or even painting or drawing on the fabric.
